This weekend I had the pleasure of seeing Here Come the Mummies perform live at Tavern Park. It was an awesome show, and a really fun party, albeit the booze was tremendously overpriced. Believe this, if you will: the cost of a Red Bull and Vodka along with a Miller Light: $14. Holy hell, right? Luckily for me, being the driver, drunk didn’t format into the equation, so my wallet was slightly spared. It was also a Halloween party, so we were all in costume. There were many unoriginal outfits out there, but I think Mike and I did fairly well: He being Dr. Horrible, and myself as the prominant Captain Hammer. Believe it or not, hardly anywhere there recognized who we were. In fact, one woman, when I told her who I was, told me that I “wasn’t allowed to just make something up”. Absurd!
I was already a pretty big fan of HCTM, but after seeing them live, it has been cemented. They’re just… well, wow. They put on one hell of a good show, I’ll say that much. Tomorrow, a new comic will be posted! Isn’t that exciting? You might start to notice some new updates to the site as well, and you can expect to continue to see more and more of them.
