I liked them quite a lot, actually.  I thought they were a nice touch, especially on the Shaman's vines.   I liked that they were color coded, with the Shaman's magic being green, Harold's Blue and Kyle's more of an orange. Though I was surprised the arrows had it- are they enchanted arrows? I dunno… I don't play WoW so I don't know what they look like in game.

I do think Harold's ice/energy (?) ball maybe should have been blurred around the edges, softened a little?  Like you could see through the blue aura when he held it, but not when he threw it. Except in the comet's tail.

That's just nitpicking though, and I'm honestly only looking that close because you asked our opinions, and I didn't want to come in all HOMG ILU GUIZE N UR FX.

Although I do, totally.

And I am wondering if that engine is going to need that part that's lodged in the Shaman's brain to run.  Because if does, then getting it out's going to be messy, and we won't see him again which would be kind of disappointing.  He's a cool character.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback on the FX. I must agree with you that the shaman is, indeed, a badass character.  And the orange on Kylianna's arrows is actually just burning plant in the background from Harold's blast, but it just so happens to line up propperly with her bow to make it look as though it is on fire-ish.  And don't worry about WoW and flaming arrows, the only basis our comic has with WoW is that the names and races of three of the main characters are the names and races of our own.  That's really it.  All the locations, towns, cities, alliances, etc. are completely unique to our universe that we have created.

Also, we totally love it when people use the forums!  So, keep it up, and I'll keep talking back.  And hopefully, someday, other people might just do the same.  We're always trying new artistic techniques to help our story really come to life.  It should be quite evident by simply looking at the first page ever, and this week's pages.  HUGE DIFFERENCE!  And I think all the chnages have really been for the better.

It might be really cool to keep the Shaman and have him come back at some point.  I think I might just do that… and I know exactly how, too… muahahaha!

Also also, we're just about to your character's time in the sun… and horrific end!

It's been fun to watch it grow- and insightful.

I have toyed with the idea of doing my own comic, not a web comic, I never would have any idea how to begin that and I don't color anyway- but just a comic, old school, pen and paper.  And I had often wondered how people would respond to the art evolving, and I realize now that people expect that, and enjoy it.

I appreciate that you guys shared the origins of the comic too, it was inspiring to see how much they've changed and grown and that it's okay.  I have gone back to the beginnings of a couple of webcomics recently and realized I'd been watching them grow too, only I hadn't realized it. Evolution is okay.  Art is organic, and it grows.  Even comic book art.

And I liked the character sheet you put up, too.  Makes you get inside your character's head.

Not only has your comic been entertaining, but educational!

And this is totally your universe?  Meaning… eventually, someday, if the comic gods are generous and the merchandising gods agree…  There could be a WTBD video game?!  There'd have to be, you know, as a tie-in to the movie.

And no rush.  I am a patient person. Besides, I'm loving this whole engine shaman story line.  What the heck kind of jet fuel was in that engine, anyway, that it should affect anyone that way?  And is Harold so against flight because he's scared of heights, or because he gets airsick? Or is he afraid of magical jet fuel?  (I would be too, after meeting the shaman.)

Harold is basically afraid of flying, but that'll be touched upon soon enough.  And yeah, someday it would be amazing to have our own video game… or even an animated TV series.  Maybe in the vein of (artistically) Avatar.  I always enjoyed the fight scenes in that series and felt that WTB Dignity would have a lot of similar combat… although, you know, a tinge more violent… with most opponents actually dying, instead of getting knocked out, or taken prisoner.

As far as a comic goes, you should absolutely get started on it!  If you need any help with the whole character and plot development, you could simply read a post I made on this site not too long ago about character and plot development for stories.  It has a lot of great knowledge that was passed onto my by some of my professors.  Being a film student myself, they were originally geared towards scriptwriting in movies, but seriously… a story is a story is a story, no matter what format or medium it takes.  It was made in an actual blog post, not a comic post, but it certainly helped me flesh out my novel, my screenplayes, my animated TV series, and this comic series as well.  I really hope to get all of them made someday, hopefully soon, and be a regular at many different cons.  I would love to actually be invited to some to do panels and discussions… that would be amazing!

Also, heres some helpful insight:  As far as ink and paper goes, as well as comic evolution, you should check out Sam and Fuzzy.  I LOVE the guys work, and he does all his comics by hand, on paper, then scans and inks them.  He also started just doing random comic strips that had no coherency, but as his artwork evolved, he started making the incoherent original strips coherent, and started writing graphic novels.  He now has several different graphic novels, as the story of his characters keeps progressing into new stages in their lives.  It really is quite bad-ass.
