This was honestly the first thing that came to my mind to talk about because… :sigh: the weather up here in WA is freakin' weird! I work the graveyard shift, and at 1:30, I go to lunch. As SOON as I stepped outside the building, which has no windows, mind you, I came face to face with fog!
FOG! IN WASHINGTON STATE?! I never thought it was really possible, having lived in the Northwest for most of my life and not really coming across it. Not only is there fog, but the temperature is right around freezing. I may be crazy, but fog, at night, when it's freezing out, could potentially be dangerous. But, I'm not a meteorologist, so I don't know. XD

The strangest for me was years ago while hiking the southern edge of the colorado rockies in northern new mexico. While about 100 ft from the top of the highest peak in the park we were in, Mt. Baldy, i believe, the temperature dropped from around 95 to 36 within a 10 minute span. It was the middle of the summer in New Mexico, mind you, and started to hail on us… hard. Like, good sized ocks of ice just started to plumet down onto us. And, Mt. Baldy is called so for a reason… the cap is above the tree line, so it looks bald. So, there was absolutely no cover for us. It was definately a wierd experience, going from t-shirts and shirts to trying to yank out whatever long sleeved clothing we could find from our packs as quickly as possible.
