Is that a reference to Mack the Knife and Geno from Super Mario RPG for the Super Nintendo?

Does this mean that their favorite food was rotten mush?

Now that you mention rotten mush, I think it should be.  I'll try to remember to add a line about it, hehehe.  I actuall yhad no intention of referencing SUper Mario RPG, even though it is oen of my all-time favorite games.  However, like you, I couldn't help but see the reference once I read it on the page.
